Mountaintop (free) 03:01
Mountaintop V1 I've got this mountaintop, Saved for folk singers, Hopeless gents, and soulful sinners. They carry tunes, fill balloons, With hot air. The field's ablaze, the grass is yellow, Copperheads say their hellos. Bring you sleep, their soul to keep with your blood. C1 It's a friendly face that always looks you straight, In the middle of your head. And we'll take two steps back, and take you through the rain, That's the help that you get. V2 I got this mountaintop, for folk singers, Soulful gents, and hopeless sinners. They carry tunes, in cheap balloons, In the air. This field's ablaze, the grass is yellow, Sitting back, and feeling mellow. Forgot my sleep, and soul to keep in the sun. C1 It's a friendly face that always looks you straight, In the middle of your head. And we'll take two steps back, and take you through the rain, That's the help that you get.

Cyclery (free) 03:02
Cyclery Staring backwards at the drawings on the wall A thousand authors but it ain’t no book at all Turn it over in your mind once or twice Turn it over Summer swells, bugs dominate Sounds of someone coming in the gate Spinning wheels blurred cobblestones and dust And the miles you must la la la la la la la la I could see you from a thousand yards away Turning stones in your own peculiar way Turn it over in your mind once or twice Turn it over Summer swells, bugs dominate Sounds of someone coming in the gate Spinning wheels blurred cobblestones and dust And the miles you must la la la la la la la la

Dust (free) 04:38
Dust Will there be a judgment day, is it yours or mine to say, either way someday this skin is gonna be dust While we have some time alone, in our special activity zone Lets try to love each other a little every day C’mon baby love me today, C’mon baby love me today, You’re the only one - that makes love so fun You’re the only one – you’re the only one I loved you once in the middle of the night I loved you in the middle of a fight I loved you when you weren’t even awake I loved you in that old gray car I loved you in that room so dark I loved you on a rock in the middle of a lake C’mon baby love me today, C’mon baby love me today, You’re the only one - that makes love so fun You’re the only one – you’re the only one

Regalia (free) 02:26
Regalia You’re still here, there’s so much of you here And I can feel you watching Guide my hand, and rest my weary head Until the night closes us down In sleep we dream, and in the darkest valleys We seek the truth and rally Shielded by our hearts Shielded, shielded by our hearts Watch me now I can stand up straight And give back what I’ve been given My best work Comes now because it’s late I know showing up doesn’t count as living In sleep we dream, and in the darkest valleys We seek the truth and rally Shielded by our hearts (X3)

about

the New Messengers Chicago

Originally started by Clarence Fraher (ex Technical Jed, Drunk) and Joe Nio (ex Seymores, Drunk) as a sort of basement space- folk band, it morphed into something that would would fit comfortably on a mix of any decade, they could come from the 60s, the 70s or next year and keep the hooks and the harmonies of pop music hidden in catchy lyrics about philosophy, sex and death. ... more
